Payment methods
To keep our prices as low as possible, Rest does not accept credit or debit card payments.
Rather than increase our prices to absorb card-processing costs, we ask that payments be made by bank transfer or another fee-free payment method.
No card surcharge. No hidden payment costs. Just our published price.
Overview
One of the biggest concerns families have when arranging a funeral is understanding the cost. Unfortunately, some funeral providers make pricing difficult to understand by combining services into large packages or by packing with unnecessary “free” inclusions.
Do I want a signing book?
Do I need a memorial book full of photos I already have?
At MyRest, we believe families should understand exactly what they are paying for. Our pricing is designed to be transparent, with clear explanations of what is included and the flexibility to choose only the services that are right for your family.
Our Philosophy
We believe funerals should reflect the wishes of the person who has died and the needs of their family, not a predetermined package.
Some families want the simplest possible farewell, while others prefer a memorial gathering, traditional funeral service or burial. Every option should be available without unnecessary pressure to purchase products or services you don’t want.
Where possible, our pricing is broken down into individual components so families can see how the overall cost is made up.
Remember that we are always able to send you a tailored Service Proposal that outlines the costs and explains everything specific to your situation.

Rest Professional Fee
Description
Our professional fee covers the time, expertise and personal support required to care for your family from the moment you contact us until all arrangements have been completed.
This fee is clearly shown as its own item so families understand exactly what they are paying for.
Includes
- Personal arrangements
- Coordination & Bookings
- Family support
- Registration of death with state Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages
- Official Death Certificate (inc. postage)
- Administration
Every funeral is different. Rather than hiding costs inside fixed packages, we separate our professional fee from other services. The fee reflects the level of planning, coordination and responsibility we take on for your family. If you’re arranging a simple direct cremation, our role is very different to coordinating a large celebration of life involving multiple suppliers, a venue, flowers, printed booklets and live streaming. By charging this way, you only pay for the professional support you actually need.

TransportFrom $600
Transport
Description
Transport is the care and movement of your person from the place where they are being cared for into our care, and the onward journey to a cemetery or crematorium.
The price depends on where your person is being collected from.
Hospital
Transport from a hospital into our care, as well as the onward journey to a cemetery or crematorium.
Hospital collections generally don’t need to happen immediately and, in many cases, can’t happen immediately. Before we can collect, we need to ensure the necessary medical paperwork has been completed, including the Form 9 – Cause of Death Certificate.
This means there is usually no need for a family to feel rushed into arranging collection from a hospital. We can work with the hospital and the medical practitioner to make sure everything that needs to be in place is ready before your person is brought into our care.
Aged Care
Transport from an aged care facility into our care, as well as the onward journey to a cemetery or crematorium.
Aged care collections are generally arranged relatively soon after death. This isn’t because there is a legal requirement to collect immediately, but because many aged care facilities don’t have a morgue or dedicated space for keeping someone who has died.
A death during the night, for example, doesn’t necessarily mean that collection needs to happen at 2am. In most circumstances, collection can wait until the morning and be arranged around 6–8am.
Air conditioning can generally provide a useful amount of time for a person to remain where they are while arrangements are being made. There can also be circumstances where additional cooling is particularly helpful. Our cooling plates can provide temporary cooling where a family needs more time to get to the facility, or where circumstances such as flooding or other disruption prevent normal collection.
Private Residence
Transport from a private residence into our care, as well as the onward journey to a cemetery or crematorium.
Private residence collections cost more because they generally require two team members to attend. They can also happen at any time of day or night, and unlike a hospital or aged care collection, we may need to respond when the call comes rather than fitting the collection into the operating schedule of a facility.
In most circumstances, Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) will have attended first and provided a Life Extinct form before we can collect your person.
There is also something important that families should know: there is no legal time limit requiring you to call a funeral director or undertaker after someone dies.
You may hear someone say, “You need to call a funeral director now.” That’s not necessarily the case. You don’t have to engage a funeral director or undertaker simply because someone has died. It is possible, although uncommon, for a family to make their own arrangements and manage the funeral process themselves.
What matters is that the necessary legal and practical requirements are met. Who you ask to help you is your choice.
Includes
- Collection from the selected location
- Transport into our care
- Onward transport to a cemetery or crematorium
- Transport at a time that works in with our schedule and the hospital or facility
- For a private residence, collection at the soonest possible time after Queensland Ambulance Services have provided a Life Extinct form

Cremation Fees (Warrill Park)$690
Cremation Fees (Warrill Park)
Description
Cost of using our cremation partner at Warrill Park.
Why it’s needed
Public health. A body left unmanaged begins to decompose within hours, and decomposition releases bacteria and gases that pose a genuine health risk to the living, especially in close-contact settings. Every society has needed some method of final disposition for this reason alone, and cremation deals with it completely and quickly by removing the organic material entirely rather than allowing gradual breakdown.
Legal and civic necessity. In Queensland, disposal isn’t optional. A body must be either buried or cremated (including alkaline hydrolysis), it’s simply not lawful to keep a body indefinitely or handle it informally. Cremation offers councils and communities a permanent, land-independent way to meet that legal obligation.
Land and space. This is where cremation’s rationale diverges most from burial’s. Burial requires ongoing physical space, in perpetuity. As populations grow and burial grounds fill, cremation offers a way to honour and finalise a death without committing land indefinitely. This is one of the strongest practical drivers behind cremation’s rising uptake in Australia.
Certainty and finality. Cremation reduces the body to an inert, stable form that carries no ongoing biological risk and requires no maintenance. For many families, that finality itself is part of what they’re seeking, nothing left to decay, nothing left to manage.
Emotional and psychological closure. Beyond the practical, humans have always marked death with a deliberate act, not just an outcome. The heat and transformation of cremation gives many people a concrete, witnessed process to point to, a discrete moment where the person becomes something to carry forward, whether that’s ashes scattered somewhere meaningful or kept close.
Flexibility for the family. Because cremated remains are portable and don’t require a fixed plot, cremation gives families room to decide later, or never decide fully, what happens next. That flexibility is itself part of why people choose it.

Booklet Design and PrintingFrom $220
Description
Design and printing of a simple four-page funeral booklet.
The booklet is made from one A4 sheet folded in half, creating four A5 faces. We design the booklet using the information, photographs and preferences you provide, then arrange printing for the agreed number of copies.
Pricing
The price includes design and printing.
Design and approval
There is no fixed number of design revisions. The aim is to work with you to get the booklet right while keeping everything on schedule.
Because these booklets are usually needed for the funeral, the important consideration is the printing deadline rather than a set number of revisions.
We will provide a proof for you to check before the booklet is sent to print.
Printing deadline
The usual cut-off for booklet printing is 3 business days before the funeral.
This gives enough time for the booklet to be finalised, approved, printed and delivered.
If information or changes are received after the usual cut-off, we will do our best to accommodate them, but we cannot guarantee that printed booklets will be ready for the funeral.

- Booklet design
- One four-page A5 booklet
